Train the Students to Serve the Public: Tripura Governor Dr. D. Y. Patil

Tripura Governor Dr. D Y Patil advocated training the students of the country to serve the public. He was speaking after inaugurating the Saptagiri Medical College Hospital building complex today on Hesaraghatta Road in the city.

He added that the state has made a huge contribution in the field of healthcare in the country. Karnataka has its own unique place in the field of medical education, he added. Karnataka is known for medical education. Many medical colleges in the state have contributed greatly to the medical field in the country.

Sapthagiri Medical College started recently is another example for this. By focusing on little things that matter, Sapthagiri Medical College has achieved a lot within the span of a few years.

Positive thinking is necessary to achieve big in life. Our thoughts decide our goal. Students should be educated in such a way that they can understand and respond to the problems and difficulties of the people. They should be developed as the citizens who strive to develop the country, Patil opined.

ImageChairman of the Sapthagiri Medical College G. Dayananda who presided over the function, said that providing quality health services to the poor and the general public is the main goal of the college. He added that lot of attention has been given to creating doctors who care for society.

Chief Executive Officer of Srinivasa Educational Trust G D. Balaji, Principal of the Sapthagiri Medical College Dr. U.S. Vasudeva, Medical Superintendent Dr. S. B. Vasantkumar and Director . K. M. Srinivasa Gowda and others participated in the program.
